Venison Italiano
2 pounds boned round steak, cut into serving portions
4 tablespoons olive oil
1 clove garlic
3 cups canned tomatoes, sieved, or tomato puree
1 teaspoon oregano
Salt and pepper
1 teaspoon dried parsley
Mozzarella cheese
Brown steak in oil with garlic, add tomato and
seasonings. Cover and simmer until fork tender. If
desired, a slice of Mozzarella cheese may be placed atop each
portion and slid into the oven until cheese is melted.
Serves 4.
